Infrared (IR)

Infrared Illumination (IR) refers to the use of light in the infrared spectrum (typically 850 nm or 940 nm) to illuminate low-light scenes for security cameras.

Modern implementations such as EXIR 2.0 or Smart IR use advanced LED optics to produce a more uniform beam pattern, reduce IR bleed and overexposure, and extend range up to 30 m (98 ft) depending on model and lens angle.

This feature ensures continuous visibility when ambient light is insufficient, enhancing detection reliability and video evidence quality at night.
