Hikvision DS-3E1318P-EI — 16 Port Fast Ethernet Smart PoE Switch

If you’re building (or expanding) an IP camera network, this switch keeps the install clean and the day-to-day management simple. You get 16 PoE ports to power cameras over the same cable you use for data, plus a 230 W PoE power budget so you can run multiple devices without juggling extra adapters. And when a camera freezes, the PoE watchdog can automatically detect it and restart it—so you’re not wasting time climbing ladders or rolling trucks.

Ideal Applications (Common Uses)

  • Small-to-mid IP camera deployments that need reliable PoE power + clean rack installation.
  • Remote sites where you want quick visibility into switch health, topology, and PoE usage (fewer surprise outages).
  • Long cable runs where extended PoE transmission distance helps reach farther devices without extra gear.
  • Network security segmentation (VLAN / port isolation) to keep cameras separated from general traffic.

Key Features

  • 16 × 10/100 Mbps PoE ports + 2 × Gigabit combos — power and connect a full camera row, while keeping uplinks fast for NVR/servers. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
  • Total PoE Power Budget 230 W — helps you run multiple PoE devices without “power math” headaches. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}:contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
  • PoE watchdog — detects and restarts cameras that don’t respond, reducing downtime. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}:contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}
  • 802.1Q VLAN + Port Isolation — segment your camera network for cleaner traffic and better security. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}:contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}
  • Up to 300 m Long Range — helps extend PoE transmission for supported scenarios (real-world results depend on camera/cable). :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8}:contentReference[oaicite:9]{index=9}
  • 6 kV Surge Protection — added resilience against electrical spikes. :contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}:contentReference[oaicite:11]{index=11}
