Description
Hikvision DS-2CE12HFT-F28 5 MP Full-Time Color Camera
What if your security camera could preserve important color details even after the sun goes down? The Hikvision DS-2CE12HFT-F28 combines 5 MP resolution, an ultra-bright F1.0 aperture, and integrated white light to produce full-time color images around the clock.
Its wide 2.8 mm lens helps cover more of the scene, while 130 dB true WDR improves visibility when bright and dark areas appear together. With four switchable video formats and an IP67-rated metal housing, it provides a flexible and dependable solution for indoor or outdoor surveillance.
Why Buyers Choose This Model
```5 MP Resolution — See More Useful Detail
The 2560 × 1944 image provides greater detail than standard 1080p video, helping you review people, vehicles, clothing, and activity with greater clarity.
Full-Time Color Imaging — Preserve Important Color Evidence
Instead of switching to black-and-white footage after dark, this camera is designed to maintain color images throughout the day and night. Would knowing the color of a vehicle or a person's clothing make recorded footage more useful when something happens?
Ultra-Low-Light Performance — Capture More in Difficult Lighting
With sensitivity down to 0.0005 lux at F1.0 with AGC enabled, the camera can produce usable color images in extremely low-light environments.
Smart White Light — Illuminate Areas Up to 40 Meters
The integrated white light can illuminate an area up to 40 meters, helping the camera maintain color visibility when natural or surrounding light is insufficient. The light can be configured to operate automatically or remain off.
130 dB True WDR — Balance Bright and Dark Areas
Entrances, driveways, and storefronts can contain deep shadows and intense light at the same time. True WDR helps balance these conditions so important parts of the image are less likely to appear excessively dark or washed out.
2.8 mm Wide-Angle Lens — Monitor More of the Scene
The fixed 2.8 mm lens provides a 99.7° horizontal, 72° vertical, and 139.8° diagonal field of view. This broad perspective helps cover entrances, yards, walkways, and open areas without requiring a narrow camera angle.
Four Switchable Video Formats — Greater System Flexibility
Switchable TVI, AHD, CVI, and CVBS output gives installers greater flexibility when integrating the camera with equipment that supports one of these video formats.
Up to 30 fps — Smoother Motion at Supported Resolutions
The camera supports up to 30 frames per second at selected 4 MP and 1080p settings, helping moving activity appear smoother during live viewing and recorded playback.
3D Digital Noise Reduction — Cleaner Low-Light Images
3D DNR helps reduce visible image noise, allowing nighttime and low-light footage to appear cleaner and less distracting.
Motion Areas and Privacy Masks — Customize the Scene
Four programmable motion-detection areas let you focus monitoring on selected parts of the image, while four programmable privacy masks help conceal areas that should not be displayed.
IP67 Metal Housing — Built for Demanding Locations
The durable metal housing carries an IP67 protection rating and operates from -40°F to 140°F. This makes the camera suitable for exposed outdoor areas as well as demanding indoor environments.
Flexible Positioning — Aim Coverage Where It Matters
With 360° pan, 180° tilt, and 360° rotation adjustment, the installer can position the camera to cover the area that matters most.
What This Helps You Avoid
A security incident is frustrating enough without discovering that the recording is too dark, washed out, or missing the color details needed to understand what happened. Poor nighttime footage can leave you trying to identify a person or vehicle from incomplete visual information.
The DS-2CE12HFT-F28 addresses that problem with full-time color imaging, ultra-low-light sensitivity, Smart White Light, and 130 dB true WDR. Instead of simply recording movement, it helps produce clearer, more descriptive footage that can be easier to review when an incident occurs.
Would having a wider, full-color view of your property give you greater confidence that your surveillance system is capturing the details you may need later? With 5 MP resolution and weather-resistant construction, this camera helps turn a vulnerable area into a more visible and reliably monitored space.
