Hikvision DS-7616NXI-K2/16P 16-Channel AcuSense PoE 4K Network Video Recorder

The DS-7616NXI-K2/16P supports up to 16 IP camera inputs. The datasheet also states that it includes 16 built-in PoE interfaces, which makes it easier to connect and power compatible cameras directly from the recorder. That matters for buyers who want a cleaner installation, because it reduces the need for separate PoE switches in many 16-camera setups. It is designed for users who want a centralized recorder that can handle a full small-to-mid-sized camera deployment from one unit

Yes, this model has built-in PoE. The datasheet lists 16 RJ-45 10/100 Mbps self-adaptive PoE interfaces, with a total PoE power budget of up to 200 W, and it supports IEEE 802.3af/at standards. For buyers, that means you can power many cameras directly from the NVR instead of buying extra power equipment for each camera. It is especially helpful when you want a faster install and a more organized rack or back-office setup

This NVR includes several AcuSense-based smart functions. The datasheet lists Motion Detection 2.0 on all channels, 2-channel human and vehicle recognition to reduce false alarms, and facial recognition support with 1 channel for video stream or 4 channels for face picture comparison. It also supports smart search and smart playback to improve how quickly users can review footage. That is valuable because it helps buyers spend less time digging through recordings and more time focusing on the events that actually matter.

Yes, that is one of the key reasons buyers choose this model. The datasheet says its Motion Detection 2.0 and perimeter protection features can perform human and vehicle recognition to reduce false alarms, and it supports these analytics either by device or by camera depending on the function. In real use, that means the system is built to help filter out less relevant motion activity compared with basic motion-only recording. That can save a lot of time for anyone who has dealt with constant nuisance alerts from ordinary movement in the scene

The datasheet states that this NVR has 2 SATA interfaces for hard drive connection. It supports up to 10 TB capacity per HDD, which means the unit can support up to 20 TB total if both drive bays are populated with supported drives. That gives buyers room to build longer retention times, depending on camera count, resolution, frame rate, and compression settings. It is a practical fit for users who need a balance between strong recording capacity and a compact 1U recorder design

Yes. The datasheet lists one HDMI output with up to 4K resolution at 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz, plus one VGA output, and it specifies that HDMI and VGA can operate as independent outputs. It also supports 16-channel synchronous playback, which is helpful when you need to review multiple camera feeds at the same time. For buyers managing several cameras, that means easier monitoring on a high-resolution display and faster investigation during incident review

The DS-7616NXI-K2/16P supports recording resolutions up to 12 MP. The datasheet lists decoding capability up to 2 channels at 12 MP, 3 channels at 8 MP, 6 channels at 4 MP, or 12 channels at 1080p when AI is off, with lower decode counts when AI is on. It also lists up to 160 Mbps incoming and 160 Mbps outgoing bandwidth. This is important because it gives buyers a clearer sense of how much image detail and live or playback workload the recorder can handle before performance becomes a bottleneck

Yes, the datasheet lists ONVIF Profile S/G support, along with SDK and ISAPI. It also states that the recorder supports Hik-Connect for easier network management and allows up to 128 remote connections. On the browser side, it lists compatibility with IE11, Chrome V57, Firefox V52, Safari V12, Edge V89, or above. For buyers, that means the NVR is designed to work more flexibly in mixed environments and gives multiple ways to manage the system locally or remotely

No, and this is an important limitation to understand before buying. The datasheet specifically notes that facial recognition, Motion Detection 2.0, or perimeter protection cannot be enabled at the same time. That means buyers need to decide which smart function is the best fit for the job instead of expecting every analytics mode to run simultaneously. Knowing that up front helps avoid setup frustration and makes it easier to design the system around the feature that matters most for the site

The datasheet does not provide a long accessories list for this model. What it does show on the dimension page is an optional mounting ear for rack-mounting. That means buyers planning to install the recorder in a rack should note that the rack-mounting ear is presented as an optional accessory, not as a guaranteed included item. Aside from that, the datasheet mainly focuses on specifications and physical interfaces rather than bundled accessories.
